There are new deadlines for the implementation of version 4.0 of the electronic invoice in Brazil. SEFAZ has postponed the change to version 4.0 of the NF-e to July 2, 2018, the date in which the previous version will be deactivated. However, those companies that are prepared to issue version 4.0 are able to do so starting on this date.
The deadline schedule will be as follows:
November 20, 2017: Approval phase, test environment for companies
December 4, 2017: production phase
July 2, 2018: Deactivation of version 3.10, mandatory use of version 4.0
The objective of this update is to apply the new casuistry being produced to the XML schema and comply with the new regulations that have been released in the last two years. The purpose of the modifications relating to the electronic invoice is to meet the needs of taxpayers and simplify its use.
