Are you ready for Chorus Pro? Final lap for intermediate companies
The deadline for intermediate companies in France to adapt to e-invoicing with the Public Administrations has been reached. These businesses are, according to the standard, companies with 250 to 5000 employees and a billing turnover between 1.5 and 2 million.
For these enterprises, whose information flow and document exchange volumes are high, the most effective way is to find an integrated and efficient solution that lets them optimize the creation, issuance, submission and archiving of the documents without affecting their internal working processes.
EDICOM proposes a quick and effective fix that consists of implementing an EDI solution with a direct link to the Chorus ProPortal (Public sector e-invoicing concentrator). Certificates held, such as ISO 20000 or ISAE 3402, are our technological guarantee of quality in our solution processes.
With EDICOM, dematerialization operator, the following steps will be carried out automatically and integrated:
- Transforming the invoice data from any ERP and mapping it into the required UBL format.
Syntactic and semantic validations are performed on the file to ensure that everything is in order.
The qualified e-signature is also applied. EDICOM is a trusted third-party according to the eIDAS regulation currently in force.
- Connection with the Chorus Pro Yearbook to check the correct recipient of the invoice.
Connecting and sending to Chorus Pro securely through the EDICOM Public Administration HUB, with document status traceability guaranteed throughout the process.
- Management of acknowledgements from the Chorus platform on the life cycle of the invoices and integration in the issuer’s ERP.
- Long-term archiving for the 10 years required by French law, in an electronic safe qualified by eIDAS, where the electronic signature and seal are kept together with the corresponding document, with assurances of authenticity and integrity.
With fiscal dematerialization completed by 2020, when SMEs and micro-enterprises have also adapted it, the French Executive expects to achieve savings of 710 million euros per year.
E. Laplante, manager from EDICOM France, encourages businesses to “start the integration process with Chorus Pro as soon as possible, to assess the system’s impact on their internal processes and be able to optimize them as a competitive advantage against their business partners.”
Beyond the immediate benefits, such as fewer errors, increasing productivity or cutting economic costs, e-invoicing by EDI can mean other advantages for businesses in the mid-term.
The Facture Demat solution created by EDICOM not only automates the issuing of e-invoicing in France, but is also a scalable platform. Through it, it is possible to file tax returns in over 60 countries worldwide, so multinationals can centralize all their billing tasks and e-VAT returns in a single solution.
Moreover, EDI solutions go beyond their application in the B2G field of delivering e-invoicing to the public sector, and can adapt to any kind of inbound and outbound B2B exchanges, covering a multitude of messages involved in the management of any supply chain.
E. Laplante, EDICOM France manager, explains: “Rolling out EDI B2G e-invoicing solutions will lead companies to use this system with any of their B2B partners, providing economic and operational benefits in the medium term and with companies from anywhere in the world.”
