Our processing solution for electronic appraisals is now ready
Our electronic appraisal management solution is in full swing, engaging in message construction trials, schema validations and Web Service communications with the Federal Mortgage Society (SHF), to ensure that our solution is 100% in line with current Mexican legislation.
In February 2012, the Federal Mortgage Society published a series of new rulings in the Federation Official Gazette concerning the regulations affecting valuation units and professional property appraisers, designed to modernize processes in the sector.
The new regulation develops a framework that makes it possible to carry out procedures and communications by electronic means that were previously done only on paper, with identical legal validity and better guarantees of security and administrative efficiency.
EDICOM has initiated communication and validation trials with the Federal Mortgage Society authorities and the results so far are satisfactory. Following this test phase, we can offer our customers a solution for the creation, validation and storage of electronic appraisals with all the requirements stipulated by the SHF so that the documents issued will have identical legal validity to their counterparts on paper.
This is possible thanks to a powerful technological infrastructure that enables file transformations, integration with client software and exchanging documents with the SHF or an interested third party (banking entities).
Being constituted as an accredited Certification Service Provider (CSP)by the Economy Secretariat, Edicom provides valuation units with secure electronic identification mechanisms (e-certificates) that allow them to engage in activities where electronic signature replaces the handwritten with identical legal assurances, one of the basic requirements demanded by the SHF.
Additionally, we provide the NOM151 service, whereby valuation units obtain the “official record” of the electronic appraisal, which is stored under maximum security conditions in the EDICOM Data Centre.
Compliance with these legal and technical procedures means that 100% of the documents are processed from a single platform with no need to rely on third-party applications, providing the framework with special security and confidentiality conditions.
If you are a Valuation Unit or professional property appraiser, we urge you to contact our sales team to consider the rollout of a new electronic system, certified by the SHF, which moreover brings major administrative and financial advantages.
