International organization the Uptime Institute has awarded TIER II accreditation to the EDICOM Data Processing Center, following a rigorous assessment. This certificate guarantees that it is a redundant data center, which is highly unlikely to suffer service interruptions. In other words, it constitutes an endorsement of the commitments undertaken by EDICOM in its SLA (Service Level Agreement), which sets a service availability of 99.9%.
TIER certification is a methodology created by Uptime Institute that measures the DPC’s performance and reliability in the event of outages on four levels. To this end, it takes as reference compliance with ANSI/TIA-942, the Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard for Data Centers.
We can summarize the features of data centers qualified as TIER II in three key points:
Availability of the data contained in the data centre hardware is higher than 99,7 %.
They are redundant data centers.
They are subject to scarcely any service outages due either to planned or unplanned activities.
EDICOM habitually submits to record checks and audits to ensure maximum quality, availability and service security at all times. In addition to the TIER II certificate, we hold over a dozen accreditations to ensure these principles. Among them ISAE 3402 certification, NOM151 on Data Message Preservation or the ISO 27002 Information Security certificate.
