Business@Mail publishes over 12 million documents in a year

More than 12,257,000 documents. These are the traffic figures recorded by the Business@Mail solution in the past year. The platform allows users to publish any type of electronic file in a secure web portal: invoices, purchase orders, payroll, sales reports, etc. The aim is to get this information to recipients who do not have an EDI technology solution confidentially.

Occasionally, some companies may have difficulty receiving structured XML or EDI messages. The issuer then needs to resort to more traditional methods, such as fax, e-mail or postal sending. This represents an increased workload and hampers rigorous control of data privacy. In cases like these, Business@Mail lets you transfer these documents electronically, in total security and to any trading partner.

The benefits of the service have led to its ongoing growth. If we compare the traffic in March 2014 to March this year, there is a notable increase in the volume of files of over 65%. In fact, the Business@Mail platform currently has more than 18 million documents stored.

How does it work?

Working with Business@Mail is really simple. The solution is integrated with the issuer's internal management system. The ERP processes all orders, despatch advices or delivery notes, invoices, payroll or any other documents in EDI format. When the platform detects that the message is addressed to a recipient without this type of solution, it publishes the information in a secure web portal.

Once the document is published, the recipient receives an e-mail notifying them that the new file is pending. To access it, all they need to do is click on the link that appears in the e-mail. All of this transparently, securely and free of charge.

To increase process efficiency, the issuer receives information on the status of their documents. In other words, whether they have been received, read or downloaded, etc. This way, management tasks are simpler and more streamlined.
