Uruguay: e-Invoice issuers must generate the “e-receipt” before April 1
Resolution 4393/2015, dated 11 November, states that as of 1 April 2016 issuers of CFE tax receipts must include the document designated “e-receipt” along with the other electronic files issued.
The e-receipt is an XML format e-document that lists the tax withholdings and collections generated by issuers of electronic invoices.
To date, only companies that applied withholdings and collections in e-invoices addressed to the public administration were required to issue the e-receipt. As of the stated date (1 April 2016), this obligation will be applied across the board to 100% of e-invoice issuers.
They must include the e-receipt in the CFE (as the electronic invoice is known in Uruguay) regime, as of the first withholding or collection made.
EDICOM already has the developments required for issuance under this new scheme. So, it is now possible to integrate receipt issuance in your e-billing solution, automating the generation of invoices on the basis of the data from your ERP, every time you file a transaction affected by the new standard.
