EDICOM takes part in German e-invoicing event FeRD
September 8 is the date set for the 3rd edition of FeRD in Berlin, Germany’s biggest e-billing forum. The event is organized by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and brings international experts together to discuss the future of this technology in the public sector.
Consequently, the FeRD schedule has arranged some conferences to discuss this requirement throughout the day. More specifically, one of the main subjects to be raised concerns the rollout of a European standard that will allow e-invoicing interoperability and facilitate cross-border trade. In this sense, the European Standardization Committee (CEN) has yet to announce its standard. Nevertheless, discussions at the event will focus on the role that its own format ZUGFeRD may play in the near future.
Geared up for e-invoicing in Germany
EDICOM’s manager in Berlin, Emilio de Pino, will also be going to the BMWi to attend the FeRD and gain first-hand knowledge of the technological development of e-invoicing in Germany. In addition, in the afternoon of September 7, our EDI expert will be taking part in the networking session held by the event to exchange views on this system, which is expanding worldwide.
