The main consequence of the implementation of the B2G electronic invoice has been digital transformation of both businesses and the public sector. Most stakeholders in the public sector have implemented an electronic invoice solution in accordance with the binding nature of European Directive 2014/55/EU that will come into force in November 2018. The SdI platform has been available to be used optionally for the exchange of B2B transactions since January 2017.
The main reasons behind the implementation of B2B electronic invoicing arise from the perspective of the Public Administration to achieve certain objectives such as simplifying tax processes, avoiding tax evasion, and improving interoperability between the stakeholders involved in invoicing processes.
In addition, the use of an electronic solution in the B2B field favors the internal processes of companies and provides them with great operational advantages. For example:
Manage all transactions and documents regarding electronic invoicing in a streamlined manner from the company’s own ERP (internal management system).
Improve profitability and productivity, as electronic exchange guarantees traceability of operations, and this has a positive effect on payment times.
Simplification of paperwork and increased economic savings. According to AGID (Digital Italy Agency), adoption of an electronic system generates a saving of around €17 per invoice.
Solutions adapted to each company - Outsourcing as a strategic option
The challenge posed by B2B electronic invoicing is integrating a great heterogeneity of customers and suppliers of different characteristics and sizes into this type of solutions by means of the exchange of electronic transactions.
EDICOM has a centralized, cloud-based electronic invoicing platform that enables companies to adapt to any technical and legal requirement of electronic invoicing models.
EDICOM offers solutions in outsourcing that adapt to the requirements of each company, allowing for outsourcing all resources required for the implementation of the project. The possibility of also outsourcing the management processes for the administration and maintenance of these resources has extended this outsourcing concept, today turning it into a strategic option that contributes to boosting the business of companies and increasing their value.
In addition, all solutions required by the customer are carried out in the EDICOM B2B Cloud Platform, which allows making fluid and secure exchange of messages between companies and represents savings in infrastructures.
