B2G e-Invoicing with Public Administrations in Europe (White Paper)

B2G e-Invoicing Europe

The countdown to compulsory use of e-Invoicing in the B2G (Business to Government) scope has begun in the European Union. As of November 27, 2018, member states must comply with European Directive 2014/55. This means that, from that date, electronic invoicing will be the billing system required between public administrations and suppliers, operating under a European standard for e-Invoicing that guarantees interoperability among the different member states.

Businesses are facing the big challenge of digital transformation, which in the short term involves e-Invoicing and online tax compliance. Its application is the beginning of a sea change in corporate culture. Given the new scenario, EDICOM offers companies a free white paper to help understand the importance of e-Invoicing and assist them in the process of adopting the most suitable technology solution.

What is included in the White Paper?

Under the title: e-Invoicing with Public Administrations in the European Union, the new Expert Analysis presents a 360º analysis of e-Invoicing, detailing the current situation of the e-Invoicing rollout process in the European Union, its value as a crucial tool to boost Europe’s competitive edge in terms of the global economic context, the advantages e-Invoicing entails for businesses, key points of the regulatory framework (Directive 2014/55 and the eIDAS Regulation) and its application, and the role of Public Administrations in promoting its use and extending it to the private sphere.

Beyond the European context, this guide analyses the state of e-Invoicing worldwide and its leap from B2G to B2B, as well as the benefits of leveraging the investment to undertake a complete digital transformation, allowing the system to be extended to other business transactions.

e-Invoicing country by country

What is the e-Invoicing implementation status in Europe? How does it work in each country?  What requirements are set by each administration? In this Expert Analysis, we respond to all these questions. The information is structured in files, country by country. This valuable information provides relevant details such as its obligatory nature, the system used, the syntax chosen, the running time and whether electronic signature is required.

This section is a clear example of the special attention given by the EDICOM team of experts to the structure and presentation of the contents of the new white paper; highly visual and supported by infographics, bringing great added value to the document for the clarity of its exposition.

EDICOM Platform

In addition, this Expert Analysis illustrates the key factors when choosing an e-Invoicing service provider and introduces the integral solution from EDICOM: The EDICOM Platform, and how it operates. The platform is suitable for tax management in more than 60 countries around the world, with compliant e-Invoicing and VAT compliance capacities. Through the platform’s Public Administrations HUB, you can set up connection with any public body in the European Union. The platform enables a two-way communication channel that automates both the sending of invoices and the receipt of status responses issued according to the B2G e-Invoicing model in force in each country, making it possible to centralize all procedures in a single solution, streamlining tasks and reducing economic costs.
