Adapt to B2B Inbound and Outbound e-Invoicing

Italy will take the definitive step in B2B e-Invoicing in 2019 when it moves beyond B2G and e-Invoicing becomes compulsory both between private companies. With the approval of the Legge di Bilancio 2018 regulation, it is expected that the enforceability of e-Invoicing in the B2B field will be extended across all private firms operating in the country, beginning with fossil fuel companies and subcontractors from 1 July and then expanding across the board as of 1 January 2019.

A period is beginning in which companies must adapt to the management changes the new law entails. At the same time, it’s a chance for companies to reflect on where and how far they want to go in this area. Automation of e-Invoices compared to manual management

All companies are both invoice issuers and recipients. This is how the two flows would work for complete electronic adaptation:

  • Outbound: After capturing data from the supplier’s ERP, the platform developed by EDICOM generates the file in the required format and redirects it to the Sdl platform, which sends it on to the recipient.
  • Inbound: The supplier sends invoices to the Sdl which forwards them to EDICOM, where a format conversion is applied to adapt the file for direct integration in the ERP.
