MEXICO - Edicom to take part in Retail Forum 2012

18/09/2012

On 25 September, the first international Retail Forum congress is taking place in Mexico DF. This thematic conference approaches the great challenges of an industry that employs more than 3 million people and represents around 21 % of Mexico's GDP.

On 25 September, the first Retail Forum International Congress is being held at the World Trade Center in Mexico DF.

The event will be attended by leading experts in Mexican Retail and its main movers and shakers, analysing the present scenario, future prospects and the challenges faced by businesses and stakeholders involved in the development of a sector with a huge impact on Mexican economy and society. Not surprisingly, this is a market that employs more than 3 million people and accounts for some 21 % of the country's gross domestic product.

The congress revolves around 3 sessions involving different speakers who will present case studies and management models on:

  • Payment Systems, Mobile Payments & e-Commerce (Session 1)
  • Retail Marketing: CRM and Loyalty Building (Session 2)
  • Management with Suppliers: Supply Chain (Session 3)

Edicom, one of the largest suppliers of data integration technologies between businesses, provides a critical service to optimize management processes for retailer companies and their suppliers through solutions such as EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) or product catalogue synchronization via networks such as the “Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN)”.

Intensive use of these systems in the sector is crucial in the optimization of critical value chain processes like provisioning and real-time updating of product information. To this end, Rafael Zanón, Commercial Director of Edicom Mexico, is giving a presentation in session 3 titled “Benefits and barriers in GDSN Master Data Alignment project rollout”.

Attendance at the congress is free of charge. Further information and inscriptions at http://www.iirmexico.com
