EDICOM, first CFDI (e-Invoice) service provider in Mexico
Edicom becomes the first authorized CFDI service provider in Mexico. This accreditation places EDICOM at the forefront of electronic invoicing in Mexico, and in Latin America; offering services in countries like Brazil, Argentina, and Chile.
All companies with over 4,000,000 Pesos of annual income will have to send and store all of their invoices worth over 2,000 Pesos, electronically, in officially approved “Digital Invoicing via the Internet” format (CFDI, Comprobante Fiscal Digital a través de Internet).
To ensure full compliance with these new regulations, each company must contract the services of an authorized Provider of CFDI services (PAC).
This service provider will ensure proper certification, encryption, integrity, traceability, and storage of all electronic invoices in full legal compliance with the Mexican Tax Authority´s (SAT, Servicio de Administración Tributaria) current and future requirements.
EDICOM Authorized CFDI Provider
The Mexican Tax Authority (SAT, Servicio Agencia Tributaria), as of 12/16/2010, authorized the accreditation of EDICOM as Provider of Digital Invoicing Services via the Internet (PACI). This accreditation certifies Edicom as the first provider of Mexican electronic certification services necessary for generation of valid electronic invoices that conform to the new CFDI format, the use of which is obligatory as of January 1st, 2011.
The CFDI format establishes the requirement that all invoices receive the certification of an eInvoicing services provider, accredited by SAT, before being sent to their destination. This certification involves, among other functions, the fulfillment of the legal reporting to SAT, which previously was accomplished by the monthly report compiled under the previous eInvoicing model. Furthermore, the need to pre-order “folio” and “serie” numbers has been replaced. Now the eInvoicing services provider is free to apply any number it deems appropriate, including the client´s own internal control numbers.
