From 10 to 13 June, the city of San Antonio, Texas is hosting one of the world's biggest events in the B2B electronic communications sector. GS1 Connect, an event focusing on the possibilities provided by EDI standards (Electronic Data Interchange) as a source of critical data transfer between companies in different industries such as healthcare, food and retail.
GS1 Connect brings together more than 1400 professionals from over 600 businesses, and Edicom will be among them. This event is a great opportunity to make contact and exchange views with major trading partners and experts from all over the world.
The event has a tightly packed agenda, notably with several conferences on EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and global data synchronization in different business areas.
One of the main conferences this year will be given by Gary Kovacs, Mozilla Corp. CEO, on the subject of the rapidly shifting digital landscape and how its changes will affect the global supply chain.

Edicom, GS1 member
Edicom is an active member of several sector associations such as ODETTE, AMEXIPAC, XFT and EESPA, whose mission is to promote the use of standard languages that simplify and automate commercial and logistic communications between trading partners from all economic sectors.
To this end, we are an important member of GS1 in a lot of countries as Spain, France or Italy, and we actively participate in projects promoted by this worldwide association to improve B2B communication systems.
One of our latest projects in line with the initiatives launched from GS1 is our solution for product data synchronization, EDICOMData, through a standardized system (GDSN) that enables real-time exchange of key information on products and services between suppliers and distributors worldwide.
