EDICOM presents retail sector solutions at Retail’s Big Show
EDICOM took part again this year in the US retail sector’s biggest event, Retail’s Big Show. The expo was held at the Jabob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City from 12 to 15 January. For a few days, the fair hosted more than five hundred companies and around 27,600 professionals from all over the world interested in new business trends and solutions.
At stand 200, our company seized the day presenting our latest solutions designed to optimize B2B communications in the retail sector. All the possibilities provided by EDI were on display, such as integrating and automating the messages exchanged with trading partners into your ERP, or easily linking up with any supplier from a single platform.
Special attention was given to the EDICOMDatacatalogue, the only data pool worldwide which runs at the same time and with a single tool in two frameworks: the GDSN and TSD networks (EDICOM was the first aggregator certified by GS1). This makes it the world's most advanced data synchronization platform.
Visitors gained first-hand experience of these initiatives, which permit suppliers and distributors to synchronize their product databases and share information seamlessly, whether logistic (GDSN network) or focused on the final consumer (TSD network). A new utility that some retailers are already beginning to exploit to provide their customers with the nutritional composition of the products they buy, in compliance with current European Union legislation.
Some of EDICOM most important clients, such as Toys R’Us and Cortefiel, were also present at Retail’s Big Show. These global giants have already optimized their business communications and transaction systems with EDICOM´s solutions. Over the years, EDICOM has acquired wide-ranging experience in the rollout and development of B2B solutions for large retail groups in Europe and America, which have since become an international reference.
