Get ready now for e-invoicing in Costa Rica before being notified by the Treasury
Costa Rican companies are getting closer to massive widespread use of e-invoicing. On March 21, 2017, the DGT selected the top 10 high-volume taxpayers required to implement mandatory e-invoicing in Costa Rica within a six month deadline.
But it is also possible to join this project and roll out e-invoicing voluntarily before the Ministry summons them to do so, as they will only have a six-month technological adaptation period. In fact, one of the most troublesome issues for companies is integration with their accounting applications or financial systems.
So, it is important that businesses know how to begin this technological leap and with which platform, as they will be obliged to meet certain requirements and comply with set procedures.
At EDICOM, we have an e-invoicing platform adapted to the technical and legal specifications of each country. This solution automates the issue and receipt of these documents through integration with the ERP, allowing centralized management. The platform also takes care of ensuring that each invoice complies with the necessary requirements before forwarding it or integrating it into the internal management system. Our solution also allows secure long-term safekeeping of documents for the legally stipulated period.
The platform is also a global e-invoicing solution, simplifying the processes of issuing and receiving electronic invoices in multinational environments. If your company operates in different markets, you can centralize your e-billing project from a single platform and in compliance with the laws in force in any country.
