Uruguay and Chile join our international e-Invoicing platform
Edicom’s expansion in the American continent continues, extending our technical e-billing platform with the development of technical and legal solutions in line with Uruguayan and Chilean government requirements.
Find out about Electronic Invoicing in Uruguay
Our international electronic billing platform is adapted to the scheme set forth by the Uruguayan DGI (General Tax Directorate) relating to the process of issuing, receiving and storing electronic invoices. This process can be summed up in three main steps:
• The issuer requests the electronic authorization codes (CAE) to be used to number each of their invoices.
• The invoice is declared to the DGI. This invoice, in addition to the corresponding CAE, includes an advanced electronic signature.
• Once receipt is confirmed by the DGI, the CFE (Electronic Tax Invoice) is sent to the recipient in electronic format, or as a printed representation of the same with a QR code to identify the source and verify the document’s integrity.
The EDICOM international electronic invoicing platform implements specific services for the generation, transmission and receipt of the DTE (Electronic Tax Document).
These documents respond to the e-billing scheme in force in Chile and their management involves the adoption of certain requirements to be observed by senders and receivers, including conducting online communications with the SII or Internal Revenue Service.
The issuing process includes advanced electronic signature services to guarantee invoice integrity and authenticity, as well as electronic communications with the control agencies (Internal Revenue Service) to file each of the documents.
With the rollout of these new technical features in our technological infrastructure, Edicom becomes one of the main global e-Invoicing solution providers throughout the continent. This is possible thanks to our powerful platform, ready for the creation, issuance and receipt of 100% legal electronic invoices in countries with highly variable government requirements, such as Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile in South America or Spain, France, Italy and Portugal in Europe.
