EDICOM signs global interoperability deal with Liaison
EDICOM has reached an interconnection agreement with the multinational Liaison, that covers any type of business message: From electronic invoices to purchase orders or dispatch advices. This will enable clients from both companies to exchange their EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)messages without any limitation by volume or format.
EDICOM and Liaison are companies well positioned internationally and highly rated in the B2B industry, as shown by their appearance in different sectors analyses, for example the well-known Gartner Magic Quadrant, which is published every 4 years and lists the most efficient companies in developing solutions for electronic data transmission.
Both companies have reached this agreement for communications within the framework of the EESPA (European E-Invoicing Service Providers Association). This non-profit organization has an interoperable framework for issuing electronic invoice among B2B communication providers that have their own VANs (Value Added Network). However, the contract signed between the two multinationals, both EESPA members, also covers the so-called Model Interoperability Agreement (MIA) for any type of EDI message, without limitation exclusively to electronic invoices.
Thousands of users to benefit
Currently, interoperability is the main challenge faced in electronic billing and, in general, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). The existence of different standards and formats sometimes hampers the exchange of messages in the cross-border scope. This is why EDICOM maintains more than 40 interconnection with the major VANs worldwide. Among them, GXS, Sterling Commerce, Nubridges, Intesa, Easy Link, Neogrid, Tivit, etc. This way, our customers are assured of global interoperability guarantees with practically any trading partner.
EDICOMNet, one of the most powerful VANs
EDICOMNet, our value added network, has become one of the most powerful in the world, thanks to its high degree of interoperability. Signing the agreement with Liaison is yet another example of this drive towards total interconnectivity. Thanks to this, through this network, our more than 13,000 clients can exchange over 400 million business transactions annually.
